Here is another creation for my flash project "The Toy Company. This just a basic flash swf file with an animation for the companies logo.

The animation can be accessed through the link below.

The Toy Company Logo Animation

The Toy Company

Pre Production is a very important part when creating a website. For my flash class, we had to create a wireframes as well as pre loader designs and prepare product shots of a toy. I used a Lego Bionicle for my product which turned out looking really nice for medium quality photos. The companies name is The Toy Company. Below are 11 images of what I was able to produce.

Included are:

- Site Map
- Toy Exhibition Wire Frame
- Artist Wire Frame
- Contact Wire Frame
- Shop Wire Frame
- Shop Button Prototype
- Pre Loader 1
- Pre Loader 2
- Product Shot 1
- Product Shot 2
- Completed Toy Exhibition Page

Semester 3, and a Snowman

On September 7th 2010, Semester 3 for Digital Media Arts began. It is now my third week and I must say, the work is piling up.

Here is a Snowman I created for a small project in my Introduction to 3D class. 3ds Max 2011 is the program I used and am going to continue using for all my 3D work. I plan on having an uploaded image of a 3D Logo I'll be working on shortly.

Product Shot

Here is a Product Shot I took and edited for my final project in DMA204 - Digital Photography with Michael Curran. This is my SoundCraft Mixer and I just added a quick background swap and shadow effect done within Photoshop, Nothing Fancy.

I added the original photo to allow comparing. I really like the work I did on this photo. I would like to thank Rob Tomas (Ligament) for allowing me to use his SLR Camera.

Le Freak Show is here!

The Freak Show is here! No not really, but here is a 6 frame by frame design for a final project for my DMA234 course - Computer Imaging with Andrew Tedford.

Enjoy!

"You have been ask to create a banner series that will showcase limited edition skateboard designs created by artists. The defined style art direction has its roots in classic/ current Freak-Show poster and ticket design, some elements of rockabilly and psychobilly
punk music could also apply. You must also account for addition design influences from the underlying skateboard design concept the artist used. The final art style you design for the banner engagement will also define your art direction of a mini-brochure interactive site in phase two of this major project."

Above is a quick overview of what this project is about and the reason for the Freakshow look.

Eros Micrsosite

Here is another Webdesign project that Mike Gittans and I worked together on designing for Eros. Just some quick information from the project to give an overall view.

---

"Client Brief:
- This “start-up” company is looking to take a piece of the coffee shop industry.

- Their major competition is Starbucks, Symposium Cafe and Second Cup, while their secondary competition is Tim Hortons, Second Cup, Coffee Time and Timothy’s.

- They want to connect primarily with the 18-34 year old crowd.

- The shops are designed around a garden environment with lots of plants and flowers as well as busts of Roman and Greek figures in their shops.

- They focus on organic, healthy and natural foods.

- A major seller is their custom tea blends, which have a very elaborate setup including very stylish float tea cups, different sugars and various types of honey and rose petals - they want a focus on this.

- They offer Wi-Fi, terminals that have access to the Internet access and they subscribe to various magazine and newspaper publications.

- The company’s branding and logo are incomplete, so they are open to colour options and would be happy to entertain a new logo.

- They want “simplicity accented with powerful and passionate imagery."

Robot Art

Here is a robot that I painted using Photoshop. This exersise was done using a Tablet which I had no prior experience with before attempting the painting. I found it really challenging to get used to the sensitivity and feeling of the Tablet, so I switched to my mouse to compare the differences. I of course liked using my mouse considering I've been using it for 10 years. I will add Tablets to my list of "things to learn".

I also attached a photo of the picture I got my colours from. Thank you Home Depot, I salute you.

iPhone Application Designs

~Disclaimer: These are not actual Applications. They are just mockups~

Here's a project where I had to take my 2 website company's (Acrua and HP) and design 1 iPhone Application Design for each. I designed 2 images for viewing purposes in case anyone was actually looking into buying/downloading this application. It's tough to get a real glimpse of the entire app without multiple pictures showing the application and it's uses.

I also added my description of each application below each set of images. I tried my best to make the explanation look professional.

Enjoy!

---

Acura Application Description: The Acura Start Your Vehicle application is designed to allow the user to manually start their own Acura car with the use of their iPhone. This application is useful as it would save time and allow the user to get their vehicle ready to go before depature. By using this device will you not only have your vehicle started, but you will be amazed by the built auto shut down feature to keep your vehicle safe. Also, the in car and engine temperature reader is a neat and handy tool within the performance feature. Additional settings are also available to change the auto shut down timer and performance features.

Application Description: The Hewlett Packard Camera Scanner allows the user to scan anything onto their iPhone. Weather it be their foot, printed documents or textures on the ground HP Camera Scanner will pick it up. The user will also be able to view scanned images through the application as well as the iPhone default photo album. There are settings to adjust the scanners quality and image size.

Acrua / HP Website Changes

~Disclaimer: These are not actual Websites. They are just mockups~

Here are my two updated sites for Acura and HP. I made a lot of changes to the HP site and I really like the way it stands out from the first mockup. On the otherhand, my Acura mockup isn't looking that great. I ran out of ideas and couldn't find high quality photos of their cars, which I should of scene ahead of time. Regardless, I learned a lot about how to research company's and understanding branding and style.

kensington Market Designs

A recent trip to Kensington Market with Professor Michael Vissir sprung a project for us photographers. We were asked to design and illustrate a booklet, outlining highlights of the beautiful market. I personal enjoyed traveling to Kensington to take photos.

On a side note, I suggest this location for anyone looking for texture images.

24 - Do a Barrel Roll

Don't mind the title. I almost bought a shirt with "Do a Barrel Roll" Imprinted.

Anyways, here are 6 different Banner sizes I designed in Photoshop for my DMA234 Class. They are all for a premiere of the new 24 Season. Some these were easy to design with the provided assets and a few were a little tough.

Big Concept Design/ Design Concepts

~Disclaimer: These are not actual Websites. They are just mockups~

Here are 2 concepts I designed for my DMA500 - Website Design - Class.

I had to pick 5 big name companys and email them to my teacher for approval. Once checked, 2 of them got picked (Acura and HP) and the design process then begins. First design is my Big Picture Concept Design for Acrua and my Second design if for my Design Concept for HP.

I personally like the HP site, though I was told this first mockup looks like an "Outlet mall site", which is true.

Enjoy!

Blackberry Micro Sites - DMA 500

~Disclaimer: These are not actual Websites. They are just mockups~

Here are 2 blackberry related micro sites I created for my DMA500 Website Design class. The black version of the site doesn't look as great as the white version. But in the end this was a fun project to work on, though I was late on finishing/uploading it.
